  1. Beaver (Castor Canadensis)
  2. Muskrats (Ondarata zibethica)
  3. Wood Chuck (Marmota monax)
  4. Rock Dove – Pigeons (Columba livia)
  5. Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)
  6. Geese (Branta canadensis)

Resident Goose Management

Increasing resident Canada Goose populations can negatively effect properties by increasing nutrient loading of water bodies, increasing erosion due to shore line grazing and bank destabilization, and by stunting native aquatic vegetation growth. Hunt country has extensive hands on experience with managing resident Canada Geese. We are experienced with coordinating with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries to obtain the necessary permits to carry out both lethal and non-lethal goose control.
